When I was finishing up my 9 month stint in South Africa back in 2009, my final days were spent sightseeing and visiting the east coast, mainly Cape Town and the surrounding coastal towns.
I luckily managed to fit in the Stellenbosch and Franschhoek Wine valleys near Cape Town. We went to a few different places around these two regions for wine tasting, fantastic food, and the scenery (which was breath taking around every corner).
My favourite of all was the Asara Winery in Stellenbosch, a great place to relax, with an amazing view of the mountains, if you are ever in Cape Town.
Here are my best snaps from that trip – the equipment I was using was:
- Camera:: Olympus µ[mju] 790 SW
- Memory:: Fujifilm XD 1GB card
