Snowboarding – Val D’Isere 2011
Posted on 29 Mar ’11
Get ready folks, I finally got together some of the epic shots from snowboarding over the years.
My first one is also my latest adventure to Val D’Isere and all its glory. We went in mid-february, did the chalet thing for the first time (highly recommended), and had a great start to 2011. The snow was amazing, eventhough the piste bashers were working all night to keep the place open, and we did get some powder over 2 days, which always helped. Definitely recommend it for good beginners, and anyone above that level. For the absolute beginners beware that the green runs here are actually blue runs, and some of them are quite steep early on.
Also, this was the first time to break out my DSLR out on the slopes. The equipment I had was:
- Camera:: Sony A230
- Lens:: 18 – 55mm standard lens
- Memory:: San Disk Extreme 8GB
- Carry Bag:: KATA holster camera pouch and my trusty Dakine Snow Backpack (which has lasted me a long time)
These are some of the photos from Val D’Isere 2011.
